Class of 1992
Football

Silas MooreSilas Moore has been called the "most celebrated football player in the history of Half Moon Bay High School." He was called to varsity action as a sophomore and responded by carrying the ball 103 times for 521 yards. This strong showing in his first of three varsity seasons earned him Second Team All-NPL. Silas' junior year became one of the most outstanding in Cougars' history when he carried 223 times for 1,192 yards. He led the county in scoring, was the second leading rusher in the county and was named NPL Co-Back of the Year.

But his senior year was even more outstanding. Silas was like a man among boys; he was the NPL Player of the Year, First Team All-San Mateo County and the leading rusher in the county with 1,559 yards on 276 carries. Silas scored 53 touchdowns in his three-year varsity career. He is the standard of excellence for the Cougars Football program, and his number, 34, has been retired.
